Welcome to our family! My deepest desire is to point others to Christ, who continues to dramatically changed me into His image. May God's glory be revealed through the ups and downs of our family.

Utter Exhaustion

Hey there Moms, are there any other moms out there who have lived through a move with a 3 year old? This move has been emotionally and physically exhausting, with temper tantrums, melt downs and whining as the icing. This mommy is tired. Any suggestions are invited. Today, I napped the boys at different times, which cut out all the problems, praise God! Nonetheless, the house isn't finished being unpacked. Sometimes, I close my eyes, and wish for little helpers to magically come out of my walls and finish all my "jobs". Strange maybe. If it happened, you know you would be delighted! God bless all, from Oxford.

I moved with a three year old, two older children, and a pregnancy I didn't even know about yet! The pregnancy took me off my feet so long that I STILL have projects I can't wait to finish...uh, start! Sam had such a hard time with the move that he actually got sick a couple days after we moved in. He would moan, "I want to go home...". It was quite pathetic and sad...he didn't understand that he was home! It only took a couple weeks, and he knew where home sweet home was! Good luck! I hope you get some rest...take it easy!

And how long did it take you to pack up all the house?! You guys are making great progress!! And raising kids in the middle of it all! Awesome! Three's like rituals, so getting back into some reliable rituals again will help. Maybe have those animals talk to him about how much confusion has been going on with the move! Even new things that are seen as good and enjoyable set a preschooler off balance--cause it is not "the regular" schedule of life...
